The Whigville Preservation Group announced the 3rd Annual Whigville Pride Day to be held on Sunday April 28th.
Volunteers from the WPG, its parent organization the Burlington Land Trust, and other community groups will be taking part.
“The residents of Whigville take pride in their community,” said Patti Smaldone, leader of the Whigville Preservation Group. “The fields and barns that define Whigville are impeccably maintained and this is our way of showing our thanks and doing our part.”
The event will start with a brief ceremony at the Whigville Grange (153 South Main Street) at 10:30am to honor two families with Whigville Preservation Awards for their efforts in helping to preserve the character of our community.
Immediately following the ceremony there will be a community trash pick-up, as well as maintenance along the Black Dot Trail through Whigville. The primary Whigville thoroughfares of South Main Street, Main Street, and Reservoir Road will be the focus of the trash pick-up.
Once again, Whigville Pride Day will take place on Sunday April 28th 10:30am to 12-Noon starting at the Whigville Grange, 153 South Main Street, Burlington, CT.
