Postcard displaying Main Street before redevelopment.

For a special Third Thursday, present-day guests are invited to attend a reception on January 17, at 7 p.m. with some of Bristol’s prominent historical citizens.

Actors portraying Chauncey Jerome, Albert Rockwell, Helen Welch Atkins-McKay, and others will take over the stage and tell their stories, describing their lives, their achievements, and sometimes, the scandals that outlived them.

Tickets to this unique event at $20 for nonmembers/$15 for members and the snow date will be January 24th.
Tickets can be purchased at the Bristol Historical Society at 98 Summer Street during open hours (10-2 Saturdays and Wednesdays) or at the door the evening of the event.
After the performance, guests at the reception are invited to interact with the historical characters over wine, soft drinks, and cheese plates.
