BBB Connecticut Presents 2018 Marketplace Excellence Awards

Better Business Bureau Serving Connecticut (BBB) will present five Marketplace Excellence Awards to local businesses for their outstanding work in Connecticut.
The Community Care Award will be presented to Travel Insured International of Glastonbury who demonstrated superior involvement with several charities throughout the year. They strive to live by the principle, “Touch a life. Make a difference.”
HandyWorks Remodeling of Wallingford is the winner of the Business/Consumer Education Award. This award is given to businesses that demonstrate a strong consistent effort in educating their customers on topics of professional and public importance.
The Exceptional Employee Award will be given to Medine Etemi, Vice President of Operations at Trantolo & Trantolo, LLC. This award recognizes an employee of an Accredited Business who demonstrates a daily commitment to providing exceptional customer service and illuminates the importance of establishing a positive reputation and public image for the company they represent.
MDF Painting and Power Washing (MDF) of Greenwich will receive both the Superior Customer Service Award and the Website Marketing Message Award. MDF demonstrates dedication to ethics in customer service and dealing with customer complaints. They also exhibit exemplary website marketing that educates customers and provides accessibility to contact information and company policies.
The annual Marketplace Excellence Awards are given to Connecticut businesses that serve as an example for other businesses to help enhance marketplace trust.

HARTFORD —  It was a great day for high school baseball at Dunkin’ Donuts Park Tuesday. In the first game, Jordan Baker pitched a gem for University/Classical where he allowed two runs over six innings as the Hawks went on to win 8-2. In game two, The Falcons offense was dominate thanks in part to cleanup hitter Ryan Parent who drove in multiple runs for St. Paul en route to a 10-1 win.
