Your Ultimate Weekend Guide to All Things Mum 2018

2017 Mum Festival

The Mum Festival has been an epic fall festival in Bristol’s history.

Over the course of the weekend the 2018 Mum Fest will feature a carnival, dozens of vendors from area businesses, crafters, local producers, restaurants, food trucks, community organizations, non profits, and museums, in addition to games, children’s programming, adult beverages, all-day live music and entertainment, a car show and so much more!

The “Mum Season of Events” – and 4 days of premier entertainment and festival activities start on Thursday, September 20 and Friday, September 21 where a special carnival kicks off the weekend of events. Then festival grounds will explode on Saturday, September 22 with primary festival activities, and continue through Sunday, September 23 where the historic Mum Parade takes place between 1:30 pm- 3:30 pm.

The event will be held in downtown Bristol at Memorial Boulevard Field, 70 Memorial Boulevard, and the surrounding areas, where parking, including handicap parking, will be available. Additional parking is available at the Associated Spring parking lot and the lot across from the Police Station on North Main St.

Meteorologist Bob Maxon will be this year’s Mum Festival Grand Marshal. As Grand Marshal, Bob will also lead the 57th Annual Mum Festival Parade on Sunday, September 23rd. This marquee parade is a highlight of the jam-packed, activity filled, family friendly and epic fall Mum Festival weekend. The parade will begin at 1:30 pm and book-ends the celebrated Mum Festival Carnival & Vendor Extravaganza.

Bristol Mum Festival Day 1

September 20 5 pm – 9 pm, Art Gala, Food Trucks, Live Music. Amusement Rides & Midway opens at 6:00 pm

September 21 5 pm – 10 pm, Food Trucks and Live Music. Amusement Rides & Midway opens from 6:00 p.m. Fireworks at approximately 9:15 pm.

September 22 from 12 pm to 10 pm – MUM FESTIVAL DAY! Amusement Rides & Midway opens at Noon. Wrist Bands Available.

September 23 from 12 pm to 7 pm – Mum Festival Day plus Parade @ 1:30 pm. Amusement Rides & Midway opens at Noon on Sunday and will run until 7:00 pm. Wrist Bands Available.

Bristol Mum Festival Day 2 

September 21 5 pm – 10 pm, Food Trucks and Live Music. Amusement Rides & Midway opens from 6:00 p.m. Fireworks at approximately 9:15 pm.
