On July 17, 2018, Rockwell Park will be featuring hip-hop artist, Self Suffice.
This is the first time this season that hip-hop — a form of rap music — will be featured at the Rockwell Park Amphitheatre. The concert runs from 7pm to 8:30pm.
“Today’s press release is a reminder that Tuesday’s concert is a different type of music than traditionally showcased at Rockwell Park. This format may not appeal to everyone yet, we want to get the word out to those who follow hip-hop that may not frequent the Rockwell Park Concert series,” said Mayor Ellen Zoppo-Sassu.
“Self Suffice will also offer a workshop to all ages on Tuesday from 5pm-6:30pm entitled: “Breaking Writer’s Block, Dissolving Stage Fright, Writing, Speaking and
Performing Skills,” stated Brian Wilson, Park Superintendent.
Pre-registration for this workshop is available at http://www.bristolrec.com or by contacting The Parks and Recreation at 860-584-6160.
On July 24th, the Summer Concert Series moves to Forestville at the Ultimate Wireform parking lot featuring Sick Since Sunday, a modern and classic rock band. The Summer Concert Series returns to Rockwell Park on July 31, with the 102nd Army Band.
