Mom & Dad: Please Vote!

Quick Note: Back in 2013 The Central Post AKA Bristol Roundup reached out to local students and asked them to write an article about voting and why their parents should vote.

Since then, the Roundup has re-posted their article every year. Once again, here it is:

Because this is such an important election year, and because you should be out voting tomorrow, here’s a quick guide to help you along the way…

The polls open as early as 6 a.m. on Tuesday and remain open until 8 p.m., so plan that Zumba class accordingly.

Since you can only vote in your designated polling place, Connecticut has created a system to easily locate where you should be. If you’re to busy to “click the link” here are the voting locations for Bristol.

District 1

Mountain View School, 71 Vera Road

Edgewood School, 345 Mix Street

Northeast School , 530 Stevens Street

District 2

West Bristol School, 500 Clark Avenue

Chippens Hill Middle School, 551 Peacedale Street

South Side School, 21 Tuttle Road

District 3

Bristol Elks Lodge, 126 South St.

Bristol Eastern High School, 632 King Street

Greene-Hills School, 718 Pine Street

If you don’t want to vote, at least you have a good reason to check out the new schools or visit your old one. While doing so, of course, you can cast a vote!

OK…You’re busy. We get it.

But this election isn’t like American Idol!  You can’t just pick the person with a phone call or text!  We also know you still like to pick the person with the coolest-sounding name. But you can’t.

Now go to bed!

Another Quick Note: The group wanted to convey the term “Mom & Dad” can also mean “Mom & Mom”, “Dad & Dad” or just “Mom” or “Dad”.
