Veterans Strong Community Center announced the showing of a documentary, When War Comes Home.
This documentary follows the lives of 4 Veterans of Afghanistan and Iraq dealing with their “invisible wounds of war” – PTS (post-traumatic stress) and TBI (traumatic brain injury).
The documentary also delves into the effects and trauma their injuries has on their families and friends.
When War Comes Home gives us a unique glimpse into their lives and various treatments options, including treatments offered at the National Intrepid Center of Excellence – art and music therapy, yoga, meditation, and other holistic modalities.
The documentary will be shown on Monday, November 13, 2017 from 6 – 8 pm at St. Paul Catholic High School, 1001 Stafford Avenue, Bristol, CT. There is no admittance charge.
The program is open to all Veterans, Service Members, Military Families, Service Providers, and all those affected by PTS and TBI.
Veterans Strong Community Center is an information and resource center based in Bristol, Connecticut.
The Center provides supportive services to all Veterans regardless of character of discharge and branch of service, Service Members and Military Families, primarily within the communities of Bristol, Plymouth, Thomaston, Southington, Plainville, Wolcott, Harwinton and Burlington.
