Engaged Couple Gets Chance to Plan Their Wedding with Lottery Prize

Erika Jackson and Anthony Zagaroli

Engaged couple, Erika Jackson and Anthony Zagaroli, play Powerball together every once in a while. “We don’t play much, we’ll play Powerball once it gets high,” said Zagaroli.

“On my day off, we try to do errands and I thought, ‘We should check this ticket!’”  Jackson couldn’t believe her eyes when the $50,000 Powerball prize flashed across the Ticket Checker screen. “I double checked the ticket again—I’m still a little in shock!” Jackson and Zagaroli kept checking the winning numbers on their phones.

The Powerball winning numbers drawn on October 11 were —- 1 – 3 – 13 – 19 – 69 Powerball: 23, Power Play®: 2. Jackson and Zagaroli’s ticket matched the first four numbers drawn and the Powerball number.  Jackson and Zagaroli met as co-workers and have been engaged close to four years now.

The couple has waited to plan their nuptials. “Life got in the way, maybe we can finally plan that wedding! It feels deserved,” the happy couple said.  When asked about plans for the wedding, Jackson giggled and said, “I’m thinking more of the honeymoon!”
