The Bristol Police Department offers an internship program for those interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement.
The program is limited to college students in an approved educational internship program as required for their respective college degree.
The internship program provides an excellent opportunity for students to learn about the criminal justice system through first-hand participation. Selected applicants will take part in a “front line” internship with police officers as they perform their day-to-day duties.
The hours of the internship program are primarily from 7:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m. On occasion, the hours may be scheduled during the evening between 5:00 p.m. & 11:00 p.m.
The number of internships in the department is limited. Applicants must also pass a background check before they are accepted into the program.
